US Launches Anti-dumping and Countervailing Duty Investigations on Air Compressors from China, Vietnam and Malaysia

The US Department of Commerce officially initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations covering stationary and portable screw & piston air compressors under HS code 8414.80. The calculated dumping margin of Chinese products reaches up to 211.15%, and China’s air compressor export value to the US hit USD 160 million in 2025. The preliminary ruling will be released in July. If affirmative, importers have to pay high cash deposits. Manufacturers from Southeast Asia are also included in the probe. European and American buyers are diversifying their supply sources, making the Middle East and Latin America alternative growth markets for Chinese air compressor manufacturers.
