Asia’s First Salt Cavern Hydrogen Storage Base Put into Operation, Fully Supported by Domestic Diaphragm Compressors
Asia’s first deep underground salt cavern hydrogen storage demonstration project was officially commissioned in Jiangsu in July. The full pressurization and gas supply system adopts domestic high-pressure diaphragm compressors to deliver oil-free stable hydrogen injection with a daily gas injection volume of 11 million cubic meters.
Energy storage becomes a brand-new growth track for air compressors. Large-scale bidding for high-pressure oil-free compression units is launched for compressed air energy storage and hydrogen transportation projects. Zhongchu Guoneng and Hangzhou Gear Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in July to jointly develop large centrifugal compressors for energy storage, driving surging R&D orders for special high-pressure compressors. Domestic manufacturers speed up R&D of energy storage-specific models to tap new market space beyond traditional manufacturing.
