Air-Cooled & Water-Cooled Refrigerated Dryers – High-Efficiency, Stable-Dew-Point, Wide-Capacity Solutions
Product Overview
The refrigerated dryer (hereinafter referred to as dry dryer) is the core equipment for in - depth dehydration of compressed air. It cools the temperature of compressed air to below the dew point (2 - 10°C) through a refrigeration system, causing the water vapor in the air to condense into liquid water. Then, the liquid water is discharged through the drainage system, so that the pressure dew point of compressed air is stably controlled at about 2°C, meeting the drying requirements of most industrial scenarios.
The dry dryers are divided into two major series: air - cooled type (FN - AD) and water - cooled type (FN - WD). The processing flow ranges from 1 to 100 m³/min. They adopt imported refrigeration compressors and high - efficiency heat exchangers, and the energy efficiency ratio is 15% higher than the industry standard. They can be adapted to various types of air compressors such as screw, piston and centrifugal types, and are an economical solution for industrial compressed air drying.
Working Principle
The refrigerated dryer adopts the three - stage heat exchange principle of "precooling + refrigeration + evaporation":
-
Precooling Stage: High - temperature compressed air (about 40 - 60°C) from the air compressor first enters the precooler, where it conducts heat exchange with low - temperature clean air that has been cooled by refrigeration. The temperature drops to about 25°C, and part of the condensed water is initially separated out.
-
Refrigeration Stage: The pre - cooled air enters the evaporator and conducts forced heat exchange with the refrigerant (R22/R410A/R134a) of the refrigeration system. The temperature quickly drops to 2 - 10°C, and most of the water vapor in the air condenses into liquid water.
-
Gas - Water Separation Stage: The air containing condensed water enters the gas - water separator. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid water is separated to the bottom water collection chamber and discharged through the automatic drain valve.
-
Rewarming Stage: The dried low - temperature air re - enters the precooler, conducts heat exchange with the high - temperature inlet air, and its temperature rises back to about 20°C before being discharged.is av Thoids condensation in the pipeline and recovers the cold volume at the same time, reducing energy consumption.

Core Technical Advantages
-
Equipped with imported Danfoss/Copeland scroll compressors, it operates stably with low noise (≤65dB) and a service life of ≥80,000 hours.
-
High - efficiency plate heat exchangers are used, with a heat exchange efficiency of ≥95%, small size, strong anti - scaling ability, and convenient maintenance.
-
Equipped with a hot gas bypass valve, it can automatically adjust the cooling capacity under low - load conditions, avoiding frosting of the evaporator and ensuring stable dew point.
-
Intelligent temperature control system can monitor the inlet and outlet air temperatures in real - time and automatically start/stop the refrigeration system, saving energy and reducing consumption.
-
Stainless steel gas - water separator with a separation efficiency of ≥99% is adopted to avoid liquid water from being discharged with the air.
-
Optional PLC control system is available, supporting remote monitoring, fault alarm, and automatic recording of operating data.
-
The overall protection level is IP54, which can adapt to harsh industrial environments such as dust and humidity.
Maintenance Key Points
-
Regularly clean the condenser fins of the air - cooled dry dryer (once every 1 - 2 months) to prevent dust blockage from affecting heat dissipation.
-
The water - cooled dry dryer needs to regularly check the quality of cooling water to avoid scaling of the heat exchanger (clean once every 6 months).
-
Replace the lubricating oil of the refrigeration system once every 12 months and check the operating status of the compressor.
-
Regularly check the working status of the automatic drain valve (once a week) to avoid poor drainage leading to an increase in dew point.
-
Replace the drying filter (refrigeration system) once every 24 months to ensure the cleanliness of the refrigerant.
