Electra Mining Africa Exhibition Unveiled, Portable Diesel Compressors Lead African Mine Equipment Upgrade
The Electra Mining Africa Exhibition released its exhibition catalog on July 10, with compressed air service providers showcasing dust-proof highland portable diesel compressors for open-pit mining blasting, drilling and sandblasting across Africa. Many African countries launched old mining equipment phase-out plans, requiring equipment with advanced air intake filtration, cold start function and outstanding fuel efficiency to adapt to local high dust and high temperature environments.
Portable compressors from European and American brands cost over 50% more than Chinese equivalents. Heavy-duty high-altitude portable air compressors and air-cooled screw machines made in China became primary replacements for African mining firms, with bulk letters of intent from mines in South Africa, Zambia and Tanzania signed in July.
