Completion of Air Compression System Energy-Saving Renovation Project for Plastic Packaging Enterprise in Suzhou

Background: Suzhou Seaward New Materials produces food packaging and auto plastic parts. The factory runs continuously all year round. Air compressors of multiple brands were used in the original system, operating out of sync, resulting in high no-load energy consumption, scattered maintenance and unstable dew point of compressed air, which affected the yield of blow molding products. Solution: Upgraded to GDK series screw air compressors from Gardner Denver with unified brand and control logic of all units. The pipeline was redesigned, and high-efficiency drying and filtration post-processing system was installed. A remote online monitoring platform was built to monitor pressure, flow rate, dew point and equipment operating status in real time. Result: After renovation, no-load loss was greatly reduced with a comprehensive power saving rate of 21%. The dew point of compressed air remained stable, lowering the reject rate of blow molding products. Centralized monitoring reduced manual inspection cost and speeded up response to equipment fault warnings. The continuous air supply scenario in packaging manufacturing has been verified.
